I finished the series. 4 long books with lots of pages. Hardback novels. That's 5 since July which exceed my previous record of 5 non-computer, non Bathroom Reader books read in a year by 5, I believe.
The upside to all this reading? I'm not watching as much TV and hence I am happier according to this study.
COLLEGE PARK, Md. - A new study by sociologists at the University of Maryland concludes that unhappy people watch more TV, while people who describe themselves as "very happy" spend more time reading and socializing. The study appears in the December issue of the journal Social Indicators Research.
I want to know who is funding these studies and are they watching Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew on VH1? I defy you to watch a few minutes of Gary Busey or Jeff Conaway in this show and tell me you're not happy with your life.

I hate these so-called studies. They disregard other factors in life, perpetuate stereotypes, create new ones and/or generally lump people all together just because 100,000 (or whatever number) of their "test subjects" report 'XYZ'.
I personally hate being lumped together with bunch of other people just because some "researcher" declares that I fit some stupid profile they've concocted.
